Hey Jenn! Thanks for your quick response. I was wondering if you had made Ezra a regular stop or if it was going to be months before I heard from you again, lol!

Hey. Don't let the pen bewilder you. You wouldn't believe how many of us there is that can express our hearts through the ink so much better than by word of mouth. I don't know all the reasons it's that way sometimes Jenn, but it is common among writers. I think it's just part of the Gift God gives us to write, among other things. I don't know whether you've realized it or not, but you are quite the writer. At least that is so when communicating what's going on inside of you.

You know Jenn? There's no big rush in your quest, correct? How would you like to just get to know the "real Jesus" a little better than maybe what you've come to understand so far? I'm working on a book concerning who people are when they really belong to Christ... I think I have about seven chapters of it posted here on Ezra. You can begin here:

It's not boring Jenn. You just might find yourself read through it in no time. If that be the case, I have a little more of it tucked away elsewhere... But it is the most incredible story you'll ever hear... And it is nothing but the Truth of The Gospel... Oh what a story... I think the order of chapters has got all messed up, so if you read them, read them in order progressively. I think you're gonna be surprised at some things...

If you want to give them a read? Give me a shout after you're done. We'll talk more. I'm looking forward to it. Ask and ye shall receive. Knock, and the Door will be opened for you.

Trust It. He'll never let you down... No matter what.

Love ya,

Matt

LostInPrayer,

If you feel you're the only one who has these emotions, let me tell you that you most CERTAINLY are not! We ALL feel these things.... the only difference is not all of us are as brave as you in expressing them, or as articulate in your beautiful illustration of the battle between the flesh and the Spirit.

Whom do you feel God used in scripture? Who do you feel He uses now? The righteous? The perfect? To whom did God refer as "a man after His own heart"? That's right! King David, a man who both FELT AND EXPRESSED the same emotions (Psalms).... you're in excellent company!

This is a modern-day Psalm, and I commend your candor and expression. I wish I could tell you that things get easier when you are older in the faith, but the reality is... we are ALL in a world that opposes the Truth and the Light, and the first step in becoming conquerers through Christ is recognizing the battle that rages within each of us. Second, we have to recognize that we are powerless to oppose it ourselves. When we arrive at the realization that was the turning point for our hero's of faith (think of Paul in Romans 7), we see that in our weakness He is made known, and in our failures He is there to pick us up and renew our Spirit.

I believe that, even in this post, God has used you. Remember, the bench is a place of ENCOURAGEMENT FOR OTHERS, and a place where you gather your strength for the next inning. :)

We love you... imperfections and all!

(signed, an imperfect man....)

Craig
